Katy + Chud | Steam Whistle Brewery Wedding Photography

Commentary coming soon... - Heather Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Personalized - very 'us' What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Hearing everyone laugh as Chud walked out to 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' Groom: The 'big reveal' of seeing Katy for the first time and our first dance Best wedding related decision: Doing things ourselves (flowers, music, table runners, boutonnieres, baking, etc.). Favourite detail: Boutonnieres and Comic Book themed table markers Advice for future brides & grooms: Only spend money on what's important to you. Wedding costs add up so quickly, prioritize what means the most to you and spend on that. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? The weather- we had it in October to  avoid the summer heat, but it ended up being 25 degrees anyway. Best surprise of the day: How good Chud looked in a kilt. I had been against the kilt from the very beginning, but have to admit, they looked good in the end. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): Chud: Number 182 where I am reading the comic book where Spider-Man marries Mary Jane Watson and Katy is reading the Archivist's Story. The photo perfectly reflects our personalities. Katy: Number 296 which was taken outside the church right before the ceremony. It was such a beautiful moment between the two of us after everyone else had gone inside the church. VENDORS: Ceremony Location: Forest Hill United Church | Reception Location: Steam Whistle Brewery  | Cake: None! We had ice cream sandwiches (WAY BETTER) | Dress (designer and/or store): Davids Bridal | Flowers/Decorator: Bride  | Hair/Makeup: Eduarda at Salvatore Leonetti  | Caterer: En Ville  | DJ: Groom | Invites: Ilanit Shohat of Shohat Designs  | Sound, lighting: Pandor WEDDING SONGS: First Dance: Gangsta Luv GMix - Snoop Dogg and Mayer Hawthorne  | Parent Dances: I'm Telling You Now - Keb Mo' I loved all the little post it-love notes around this couple's apartment! Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): Chud: Number 182 where I am reading the comic book where Spider-Man marries Mary Jane Watson and Katy is reading the Archivist's Story. The photo perfectly reflects our personalities. (below)   Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): Katy: Number 296 which was taken outside the church right before the ceremony. Michelle + Jeff | Ancaster Ontario Wedding Photography

Michelle and Jeff celebrated their wedding over two days which included a very intimate church ceremony and a big party with all of their loved ones. There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Get the ceremony started earlier so that our pictures wouldn't get rained out :) Best surprise of the day: Our reaction from our friends and families to our salsa performance. We were on a high. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The photo of Jeff and I in front of the cabin. Lindsay captured us in a way that made it seem like we were in our own little world. We had just finished our beautiful ceremony at the outdoor chapel and we were just enjoying the moment. Anything else you'd like to add:  Jeff looked really suave and sexy in his suit. Thanks Lindsay and HRM!!! Our photos are so playful and colourful, we look forward to looking through them throughout the years! Rino + Jeff | Toronto Islands Wedding Photography

Rino and Jeff planned their fabulous Toronto Island wedding while living in Japan and didn't see the venue in person until days before the wedding! It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! Frangipane makes amazing desserts.  Best surprise of the day: It poured rain 10 minutes before the ceremony, then the sun came out and glistened everything around us!  VENDORS: Ceremony Location: St. Andrew by the Lake Church, Toronto Islands | Reception Location: The Royal Canadian Yacht Club - Island Clubhouse |  Officiant (if not a church ceremony): friend's father, Rev. Dr. Tom Hastings | Cake: Frangipane |  Dress (designer and/or store): Vera Wang | Wedding Planner: ourselves | Flowers/Decorator: Nancy Hudson | Hair/Makeup: Hair on the Avenue (hair&makeup) | Caterer: RCYC | DJ: Kwame Phillips WEDDING SONGS: First Dance: Por Una Cabeza  Favorite HRM picture from the day : 454_RinoJeff_HRM  ... an impromptu family photo!
