Karen + David | October 18th, 2009 | Bellamere Winery Wedding

A fall wedding at Bellamere Winery = perfection! Karen & David’s Sunday afternoon wedding was a delight! We started the day with the girls at the Idlewyld Inn, which is a hidden gem in Old South. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a beautiful spot to get ready for your wedding in London, Ontario. Even though we “weren’t allowed” to take photos during the ceremony, we managed to get some sneaky shots with our long lenses through an open door… and then had some giggles re-enacting their vows shortly afterwards. The afternoon sun was just perfect for a quick photo shoot in the field behind the venue. Samirah from Designs in Bloom, as always, did a great job on the flowers – loved the candy toss bouquet (and the young guests at the wedding did too!)

LOVE this shot of the bride and groom both hugging their moms after the ceremony!

March 19, 2010 - 3:53 pm Ana - So, so, so beautiful. Heather, you are absolutely fantastic at what you do!

Lindsay + Scott | October 18th, 2009 | Niagara Street Cafe

Lindsay and Scott contacted me just a couple of weeks before their wedding day. One very exciting detail was that they had sent out invitations for an engagement party that was actually  a surprise wedding!

As the plans came together, the cat was let out of the bag but it was still a lovely  Sunday brunch wedding. Lindsay and Scott were surrounded by their very closest friends and family and after saying “I do” they all sat down to a truly incredible meal. I managed to whisk the newlyweds off for a few photos in a little park down the street before heading back for the intimate reception and speeches a t the Niagara Street Cafe.

Lots of hugs during the family portraits

Kirsten + Dylan | October 17th, 2009 | Muskoka Wedding Photography

I know it’s not nice to pick favourites, but I am in love with everything about Kirsten & Dylan’s wedding! From Kirsten’s dress and the custom bridesmaids’  jewelery to the beautiful venue and thoughtful details, this wedding was a gorgeous celebration and we were so happy to be there.

My assistant for the day, Kerri, and I started our morning with a lot of coffee and a long drive out to Algonquin Park before jumping on what they called a “boat”….we thought it resembled a wooden raft! Once we were on the tiny island, we jumped into photography mode and started documenting this lovely wedding day.

Kirsten and Dylan invited a small group of their closest friends and family to share their day with and you could feel the love and support from everyone who was there.

I am currently designing their vintage inspired wedding album and I can’t wait to share photos when it is finished!

- Lindsay

Kerri was brave enough to stand on the barge…I chose to hang on tight!

March 17, 2010 - 3:08 pm Karen - Easy to see why this wedding is a favourite! LOVE the pic of the Bride & Groom kissing in the boat.

Anita + Adam | October 17th, 2009 | Windermere Manor Wedding

Anita & Adam’s gorgeous fall wedding was so much fun to be a part of! Anita had an infectious smile throughout the day – even when we got yelled at for taking photos on a “private” road (which wasn’t marked as private!) It was well worth it, I love the feel of the country shots we took there. Definitely some of my favorites from 2009! Our shoot ended as their reception started at Windermere Manor which was beautifully decorated to compliment the season. Congrats Anita & Adam, can’t wait to put together your canvas collage for your living room wall!

- Heather

Thankful for a blue sky!

Melissa + Courtney | October 16th, 2009 | Fire Rock Golf Club wedding

We love, love, LOVED shooting this wedding! About once a year I get booked to photograph a same sex wedding in London, Ontario and they’re always beautiful celebrations to be a part of. Melissa & Courtney’s wedding was an especially lovely celebration to be a part of as their families were so much fun (and most importantly very supportive of their marriage!) You wouldn’t think looking at these photos that it SNOWED on the morning of Melissa & Courtney’s wedding! Their outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside but we were still able to do their portrait session outside even if it was a bit chilly. Wedding receptions at Fire Rock Golf Club are always great and Lori Siska from Romantic Wedding Ceremonies performed a lovely ceremony for these ladies (almost everyone was wiping away happy tears throughout it!) Congrats Melissa & Courtney – your wedding day was a joy to be a part of and I hope to work with you again in the future!

London Ontario Baby Photographer | Clara

Cute little Clara is my parent’s next door neighbour and for her birthday I gave her and her family a mini photo session. We had fun walking along the river path getting some cute shots of this little one! I can’t believe Iris is already the same age and will be walking along this pathway soon!

Tara + John | London Ontario Engagement Photography

I met up with Tara & John on Thanksgiving Monday for their fall engagement photo session. We found lots of great locations on our walk around Harris Park! I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding in September!

Toronto Maternity Photography | Angela + Akos

I first met Angela and Akos in 2007 for their beautiful fall wedding at Cullen Gardens. It is always fun to watch our clients families grow and I was very happy to hear that they were expecting a little baby boy!

We went back out to Cullen Gardens for these maternity photos and although I felt badly making Angela walk all over the property, I think the warm glowy light made it worthwhile.

I can’t wait to meet their little guy!

- Lindsay

These photos capture Angela and Akos’s quirky sense of humour. I really have no idea what is going on here!

Toronto Family Photography | Croteau Family

I love spending time with this growing family! Our first photo session was when Michele was just a little guy and I was thrilled to hear that Isabelle had arrived and they were ready for an updated family photo.

It is always great to incorporate locations that are special to the client and Natalie and Scott suggested the waterfront trail near their home. I am especially fond of Michele’s air guitar photo at the end of the shoot!

Sarah + George | October 11th, 2009 | Rosewater Room wedding

Sarah and George are an absolutely lovely couple and their wedding day was such a joy to be a part of! Since their wedding was on a Sunday, Alison happened to have the day free so came along as my assistant – it was so nice working together again, I’ve missed her this year as she’s had so many weddings of her own. The Rosewater Room is a gorgeous spot for a reception – Lindsay has shot there many times but I’ve never had the opportunity to. It’s gorgeous! There always seems to be on particular aspect of a wedding day that stands out to me, and for Sarah & George’s it was definitely the connection they have with their parents & siblings. Really beautiful to observe. We should all be so lucky!

- Heather

March 6, 2010 - 8:19 am Ana - Everything about this couple and their special day in my opinion seems to be simply sweet, elegant, and lovely. That's what I see captured in these photos. Beautiful work as always, Heather.
