I first came across The Wedding Ring in 2004 when I planning my own wedding. I loved their unique approach to vendor listings with informative reviews of different wedding vendors. Soon after, when I began building my wedding business in London I knew that I had to be a part of this great community!
Many years later, the Ring has grown and evolved - they publish an amazing wedding magazine twice a year, host "the Bride's Ball" - a fantastic excuse to put on your wedding dress again and raise money for great causes. This year they launched a redesigned website with new features designed to create a social networking site for brides and vendors. You're able to create a profile, add favorites & friends - it's so much fun!
When planning my own London, Ontario wedding, I found that so many Canadian wedding sites catered only to Toronto vendors - I love the ring because they have separate sections for all of South Western Ontario so brides from London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Huron County and Toronto can all find great vendors from their own cities!
The Wedding Ring is a great resource for both brides & wedding vendors and if you haven't already, I encourage you to go check it out!
ps. Our updated review on the Ring will be going live shortly!
Ashley & Jeff's engagement session was another great shoot from our marathon of shooting in October (we did 17 weddings and 20 portraits in October - crazy!). The light for this shoot was out of this world - shot a couple of hours before sunset, it was low in the sky to get the perfect dreamy light I love so much! I can't wait for their wedding in Strathroy this summer!
I've had quite a few couples contact me this year for "anniversary portraits" and they're so much fun to do! Rachel and Ray have been married for a couple of years and wanted to do a casual photo session in London, Ontario to celebrate their wedding anniversary. After a couple of reschedules due to the rainy, rainy weather this fall, we finally lucked out and got some great portraits in Gibbons Park. Rachel & Ray are such a fun couple who you can tell have a great connection with each other. Our shoot was full of laughter, high fives and even some robot dance moves - it was a blast to photograph them!
Rachel & Ray's signature high five!
