Jackie & Matt
Woodstock Ontario Wedding

To say the weather wasn't as this couple planned for would be an understatement... moments before they planned to see each other for the first time we were caught in a crazy hail storm, in a barn! Yikes! I was starting to get worried that the whole barn was going to blow away but we stayed safe and mostly dry. Their outdoor ceremony didn't happen, but the edge of the barn doors was still a beautiful spot! The sun came out during the reception allowing guests to mingle outside during the cocktail hour.  They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck, if that is the case Jackie and Matt will be abundantly blessed! Congrats guys!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: 'Typical Jackie and Matt"

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: So many to choose, the dance
Groom: The hail storm

Best wedding related decision:
Not letting anything bother me, the hail/rain, anything that didn't turn out perfect, letting it be.

Favourite detail:
my grandpa's handerchief, which I actually used.

Advice for future brides & grooms:
Do want you want to make it your day, and remember at some point to stop and enjoy the process.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
Besides the weather? Have the dogs there anyways, and find the time to eat my meal....

Best surprise of the day: The card Matt wrote me.

Amy & Jerry
London Ontario Wedding

There is nothing better than a couple who is as into the photos as we are! After meeting with Amy a couple of weeks before her wedding, I knew how incredibly excited she was to marry her dream guy and I also knew that she was very much looking forward to having us there to photograph every moment.

Right before the ceremony, the rain clouds rolled in and the tent went up.  At the time it put a bit of a damper on the plans, but looking back through the photos everything looks so bright and happy (it could be Amy & Jerry's smiling faces and that great pop of watermelon pink)

I wish I could photograph these two every weekend!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: intimate, relaxed and fun celebration!

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Too many to choose from.  The dance party was definitely filled with lifelong memories.
Groom: Seeing my bride come around the corner in her wedding dress.

Best wedding related decision: There were so many great decisions.  First is obviously having HRM shoot our wedding day.  Secondly was our DJ.  He spun the most amazing music and created the best dance party at our wedding.  Lastly, having a small ceremony with our closest friends and family.

Favourite detail: Our favors.  Who can't use a 6/49 lotto ticket?  On it said, "Dreams really do come true....Just imagine!"

Advice for future brides & grooms: When the wedding day arrives, let go off all your stress, give up control and let things happen the way they are supposed to happen.  It all works out so beautifully in the end.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Instead of pleasing the majority of my guests with a basic lemon, rosemary chicken... we would have taken the risk and ordered a fancy creative meal.  Something different and more memorable.

Best surprise of the day: The best surprise was my bridesmaids gift to me right before the ceremony.  It was very thoughtful and hilarious which broke the ice and made the time pass while waiting to walk down the aisle.
