Stephanie & Dave
Bellamere Winery Wedding

Stephanie & Dave are a beautiful couple inside & out and from the first time I met with them I knew I'd have a great time with them on their wedding day. Everything was so elegant, yet laidback and fun. I had a smilie on my face the whole time we were putting this blog post together remembering what a great day it was!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Elegant, classic, fun, family and friends

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?

Bride:  There's too many to count! Some of my favourites would have to walking into the church and seeing Dave and all our family and friends, the ring ceremony (the ring wouldn't go on my finger!) and dancing at the reception, we had such a great time!

Groom: Seeing Stephanie walk into the church

Best wedding related decision: I would have to say that hiring Russell as our decorator was our best decision. It was amazing to not have to worry about setting up of taking down the hall the day of the wedding, with Russell we knew everything was taken care of!

Favourite detail: Our bouquets! I absolutely loved the girls orange cali lilies and my beautiful white bouquet! They were everything I had imagined!

Advice for future brides & grooms: I would have to say to not sweat the small stuff and make sure to have fun at your own wedding!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? - It was really hot that day, around 38! we would have loved if the church was air conditioned!

Best surprise of the day:  I would have to say the craziest surprise of the day was the group of Asian tourist who crashed our wedding!

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): There's too many to choose from! We love all of the family pictures in front of the church, we will always cherish those! But we love #769 in the woods at sunset of the two of us, it is such a beautiful picture!

We had a very windy day for Catherine & Nick's engagement session - we had the beach all to ourselves, it was great!

Adina & Andy
Miller Lash House

It is always extra special to photograph the wedding of a friend and I had been looking forward to  Adina and Andy's wedding all year! This was an intimate celebration that truly captured their love and personality. To top it all off, I got to hear some great music too...my hubby Matt playing drums for the amazing band 'The Good Intentions'.

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less:  Relaxed, inclusive - a great party!

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: I loved dancing the hora with our closest family and friends, and celebrating our love with the people we love the most.
Groom: The thunder that was so well timed! Right as the Rabbi spoke of the significance of the occasion, the sky opened and marked the occasion!

Best wedding related decision: to not have a 5 course meal. The food was light, delicious, and there was more time to dance!

Favourite detail: Andy and I are all about comfort. On his feet were converse running shoes, and under my dress: birkenstocks! (they were white, of course).

Advice for future brides & grooms: Do away with things that feel "essential" to a wedding but don't match with your style. You'll have more fun at the wedding that reflects who you both are, to the bone.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not a thing.

Best surprise of the day: Friends of ours shared special news with us because we were getting married: they're having a baby!

Anything else you'd like to add: The best part was knowing that the people who we surrounded ourselves with - friends, family, but also professionals, knew us well and knew what we wanted - it allowed us to feel confident and relaxed throughout the day! Many of our vendors (including our photographer and amazing band) are people close to our family, and we were touched to have them be a part of our day.

VENDORS: Ceremony Location: The Miller Lash House, University of Toronto | Reception Location: same | Officiant (if not a church ceremony): Rabbi Stephen Wise | Cake: didn't have one! | Dress (designer and/or store): Becker's Bridals  | Wedding Planner: none! Flowers/Decorator: Flowers by Gitta | Hair/Makeup: Matteus Hair (Dary), makeup done by my amazing sister | Caterer: PR Creative | DJ: had an amazing band, the Good Intentions!

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?) : There is one picture of Andy and I walking down the path. We were talking about something and Andy stopped and stretched out to do a dance move. Someone caught it on camera, and it's my favourite picture! (below)
