Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Autumn and Thanksgiving.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Seeing all our family and friends just have a great time.
Groom: Speeches and the dancing.

Best wedding related decision: A shorter engagement and not sweating the small details.

Favourite detail: Hosting cocktails in the bride's parents' backyard.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to keep the process light and fun - planning a wedding should be enjoyable. Don't worry about what all the magazines say. It's important that you and your family and friends have fun - this can mean different things to different people. For us it was all about food, drinks and dancing.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nothing!

Best surprise of the day: The beautiful fall weather.

It was a crisp & cool day for Alex & Shane's engagement sessions, but with such beautiful fall colours as a backdrop we got through the session and got some amazing shots! We just recently photographed their wedding and can't wait to show the images!

I remember this day as wet, rainy and full of laughter & love! The rainy weather didn't stop us from having a great day, we quickly changed our photo location ending up at King of the Pigs in Cherryhill Mall, where Sarah & Kurt had their first date! We were able to get some sweet photos in a sentimental location and then the rain cleared up and we continued as planned outside! Moral of the story: don't let a little rain get in the way of beautiful photographs! Congrats Sarah & Kurt, we loved capturing your big day!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Down to earth celebration of love.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: The whole day. But one thing I loved was smiling and laughing all day even in the rain.
Groom: Saying 'i do".

Best wedding related decision: The location of the ceremony.

Favourite detail: Our personal vows.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Do your wedding the way you want it, don't do something because everyone else is. make it personal. Take moments with each other through the day to embrace it and to stop and look at how amazing it all is.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? We wouldn't change a thing, not even the rain.

Best surprise of the day: Seeing each other for the first time at the chapel- we didn't know what the other was wearing

Anything else you'd like to add: Photography is a very important part of the day, it captures the moment(s) forever. Make sure you feel confident in your photographer as we did with Niki! Do not sweat the small stuff, they day won't go as planned but no one will know.
