What a fun wedding day! We started first thing in the morning with some traditional Chinese games where the Groom and his groomsmen have to go through a series of tests to get to the bride! The bridesmaid definitely came up with some fun ideas that had me in tears of laughter! We had a great time with Xin and Shaonan, photographing their fun loving wedding party from the beginning of the day right down to the end! I especially loved the light that we had at the Fork of the Thames for the bride and groom session - it was simply stunning and perfect! Thanks for having us capture your big day Xin and Shaonan, a big congrats!

Ashley + Darren

When the spring blossoms come out, it's my favorite time of year to shoot in. But, the blossoms are so fleeting and impossible to plan when they may be out so it's rare that we get them on a wedding day. Ashley and Darren's wedding ended up being the perfect time and we got both the beautiful cherry blossoms and magnolias for their photos!! We were all so happy! It was such a gorgeous day and this couple is so full of love for each other!!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Classic, romantic, and elegant with Victorian flair.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride:  Seeing Darren in the church for the first time.  Also, the time between the ceremony and reception when we spent time photographing in the park.  It was time Darren and I were able to spend together - at a much slower pace than the rest of the day.
Groom:  The anticipation I felt waiting in the church and then seeing Ashley walk down the aisle.

Best wedding related decision:  Choosing Bellamere as the venue - the ambiance was exactly what we wanted and the staff were amazing!  Equally awesome were Heather and her assistant who kept us on track, laughing, and who captured all of special moments of our day perfectly!

Favourite detail:  All of the beautiful blossoms that seemed to "magically pop" just in time for our wedding day!  (Thank you, Dad!)

Advice for future brides & grooms:  Don't stress over all of the little details - it will all work out!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?  Throughout the entire planning process we were blessed to work with extremely kind and talented people who helped to make our day exceptional - it all truly exceeded our expectations and our dreams were brought to life.  We would not have changed a thing!

Best surprise of the day:  The weather forecast had called for storms and rain.  We had beautiful weather all day.  After dinner, Heather pulled us out for a few last pictures.  Just then, a few raindrops started to fall creating the most beautiful, twinkling detail in our final shot of the day.
