Things are going great in the HRM photography world…. after a few stressful days on a personal level at the start of last week (crazy neighbours, backed up basement drains, etc.) Andrea, Lindsay’s August 9th client sent us this sweet email that seemed to make everything better! It’s always so nice when clients take the time to give us such great feedback!

“Good morning Ladies, I just wanted to take a quick minute of your time to tell you how truly amazing our photos are and how pleased we are! Thank you so much for not only meeting but surpassing our expectations (even with Brian’s ‘Chandler’ smile)! Heather has yet to shoot our wedding and already we cannot stop singing her praises. From our first meeting in early 2005, to now (early 2006), Heather has been incredible to work with. She was the first photographer we interviewed and after speaking with her, we canceled all our other appointments. Her artistic flare was evident from her website, but meeting with her in person to view her portfolios was an experience in and of itself. Each photograph my fiancé and I saw seemed to be alive with the atmosphere of the wedding. What impressed us the most was that no two pictures was alike – and no two wedding collections were the same. Heather seemed to capture each couple’s individuality and allowed her pictures to tell their story. My fiancé and I were instantly impressed by this. Heather herself spoke so eloquently about her passion for her work and the joy of photographing weddings.

In the fall of 2005, Heather took our engagement photos, giving us a small glimpse of what it will be like to work with her on our wedding day. Everyone who has seen our photos is so impressed – each of them say that mine and Eric’s personality jump off the page. If you never knew us, or how much we loved each other, you would know every detail looking at the proofs for our engagement pictures. Six months later, after looking at them millions of times, I still get emotional; and to me that is the mark of a great photograph – you never tire of it, and looking at it brings up so many memories. Heather did this with each photograph, with each proof.

Being photographed by Heather was a terrific experience. Not only was she fun to work with, but she was so excited to work with us. Again, this set her a part for me. I have been to so many weddings where the photographer treats it as a job – get in, take the picture, get out – but for Heather, there is nothing monotonous or rigid about shooting a wedding or engagement photo. She walks into each “job” as a new and exciting experience. She leaves all expectations at the door and tries her best to capture the essence of the couple and their love for each other.

Her genuine love for her work, her passion, sense of adventure, and her easy going personality have made Heather a true pleasure to work with. Although I want my wedding day to last forever, I am so excited for it to be over so I can see the pictures!

We would like to express our greatest gratitude for the work you’ve done for our wedding. We both think that a thank you card won’t justify all the great work; therefore, we’ve decided to write to you instead.

Through the journey of my wedding planning, there were a few things Maurizio and I knew we couldn’t skimp. Photographer is one of the top priorities on our list. Since pictures are the only thing that can document our very special day, we want to make sure our decision is absolutely the right fit for us. I did a great extent of research through magazines ads, also through family and friends’ personal recommendations. It was a heart wrenching experience because there are so many photographers in town and I find a lot of their styles do not suite us. Being a designer myself, I have very specific and very high artistic expectations. And yet, like any other bride, I have a limited budget. One day I came across some amazing images from your website through a link at a Bridal website. Immediately I knew you were the one. I remember we met quickly after a couple of emails exchange. Your style had drawn me to your work, but I was very impressed after seeing your full portfolio. It is more diverse then I thought. It shows me that you are open to different ideas and are willing to try different things to suite the clients’ need.

We really appreciate that you spent extra time before our wedding to tour the venue. I can’t tell you how relaxed you made us felt the entire day of the wedding. It was easy and pleasant and we actually enjoyed it very much. Maurizio has a huge family, we knew it’ll be challenging to get the family pictures done in a timely manner and try not to be pushy with people. But you handled that situation extremely well. And I was personally very impressed with all the little details you paid attention to. When I saw you took out a small tube of fabric cleaner from your bag to clean the dirt off my wedding dress, I simply couldn’t believe how prepared you were!!

The most exciting moment for us was when we got to see the pictures for the first time. They were ready just as promised. I can’t remember how many “Ohs and Ahs” and “Oh my god” Maurizio and I had said while going through the pictures. The pictures are AMAZING! They completely exceed our expectations. I couldn’t get anything better than such beautiful pictures to document the most important day of our lives. We received so many compliments from family and friends who had seen the pictures. The only hard time we are having is to decide what pictures to choose for our album because they are all perfect. Your service was worth every single penny we invested. We can’t thank you enough.

Lastly, we wish you best of luck with your business and we will highly recommend you to our friends and family. We hope our business do not end at this point. Maurizio and I look forward to having many more family portraits done in the near future. We will soon be in touch!
