Liz & Neil are familiar faces on our blog… Lindsay has done many photo session for them over the years. When Liz emailed us to let us know she was expecting we were so excited, and apparently she was very excited to let us know – after their families, we were the first to hear the news! Although I feel that I know them seeing them in so many photos, I’ve only met Liz briefly when I dropped of her wedding album. As a little bonus, I decided to tag along with Lindsay to their maternity session. I’m so glad I did – it takes a pretty dedicated pregnant woman to climb a tree for the sake of great photos!

I photographed Melissa & Scott’s wedding a few years ago, and then did maternity photos when they were expecting their first son. I was delighted to hear from them to do a maternity session for the next addition to their family!

I am so happy this lovely lady came into my life… Kyla and I think so much alike sometimes it’s ridiculous! I’m not sure who mentioned it first – but when planning for her maternity shoot we both thought “snow angels”!! And there you have it – pregnant Kyla laying in the snow! Love it!

A maternity session quickly turns to a family session and then an individual portrait session when a toddler is involved! I had a great time photographing this lovely family again, especially soon to be big sister Maya!

There is simply nothing better than clients who are excited about their photo session. I spent such a wonderful afternoon with Kathryn and Mark for their maternity photos. They arrived at Cherry Beach armed with a pumpkin, story book and lots of great input into the photos.

Kathryn and Mark are such a lovely couple and I am so happy that I get to document this stage in their life as well as the first year of their beautiful daughter Charlie (who I had the pleasure of meeting in November for her newborn session!)

The above family photo looks like a family with a few more kids than the average family these days… wait until I tell you that there was one missing (soccer won out over family photos)… and that this session doubled as maternity shoot! That’s right – the Vella family is now a family of NINE! Trish and Tony certainly have their hands full, but let me tell you – these five kids were some of the loveliest, most well behaved and helpful kids I’ve met! If they’re always like that I can see why they have so many! Congrats on the new addition!

I first met Angela and Akos in 2007 for their beautiful fall wedding at Cullen Gardens. It is always fun to watch our clients families grow and I was very happy to hear that they were expecting a little baby boy!

We went back out to Cullen Gardens for these maternity photos and although I felt badly making Angela walk all over the property, I think the warm glowy light made it worthwhile.

I can’t wait to meet their little guy!

Can you say HOT MAMA?!? Despite telling me on multiple occasions that she felt like a bloated whale, Karolina totally rocked this maternity session (Karolina – are you kidding me, you’re gorgeous!)

Karolina gave me full reign on deciding where to go for this shoot – she wanted it to be just like her and Mikey: “a little hippy-dippy / a little rock n’ roll” and I think we captured that perfectly. I absolutely LOVE when moms-to-be are and willing to do whatever I suggest during our session… makes for totally unique and awesome photos! Although, I must give credit to Karolina for bringing along the viking helmet, I just came up with the location and posing.

Baby Monteo aka Wolfman was born at the beginning of January and I look forward to meeting him soon!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I love watching my wedding client’s families grow!! I photographed Julie and Gary’s wedding a few years ago and was delighted to hear that they were expecting their first child. They’ve booked me for our “baby’s first year package” so stay tuned for photos of beautiful baby Zoey!

I photographed Jen & Shawn’s wedding way back in the summer of 2006. I was so excited to hear that they were expecting and wanted to do a maternity session! Ever since I was pregnant myself, I just LOVE doing maternity sessions! It’s such a special, fleeting time (despite the fatigue, bloating, nausea, etc. that can come along with it). Jen was up for anything and happily went along with all my crazy ideas (getting naked in a corn field is not a requisite for maternity photos but I was very happy she obliged!). Baby Tyler was born at the beginning of September – I hope I get to meet him soon!
