Favourite detail: Boutonnieres and Comic Book themed table markers Advice for future brides & grooms: Only spend money on what's important to you. Wedding costs add up so quickly, prioritize what means the most to you and spend on that. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? The weather- we had it in October to  avoid the summer heat, but it ended up being 25 degrees anyway. Best surprise of the day: How good Chud looked in a kilt. I had been against the kilt from the very beginning, but have to admit, they looked good in the end. Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The group shot of everyone in the museum after the ceremony is definitely a favorite. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! But to be honest, there are so many amazing pictures it's hard to pick just one that was our favorite. He really went over and above our expectations and really was a dream to work with. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The group shot of everyone in the museum after the ceremony is definitely a favorite. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! But to be honest, there are so many amazing pictures it's hard to pick just one that was our favorite. He really went over and above our expectations and really was a dream to work with. Having all of our closest friends and family together from near and far. I felt incredibly lucky. Dancing the night away with our amazing friends and family. What a blast. Groom:  Seeing Jen walk down the aisle, shaking her Dad's hand, and having all of our favorite people in the same place on our special day. Best wedding related decision: Hiring HRM, without a doubt.  And, having flip flops for the dance floor! Favourite detail: Our wedding tree, which guests stamped and signed is a great memory from the day. Advice for future brides & grooms: At first we were reluctant to take pictures together before the wedding, but it was a great decision. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Groom: Surviving the ceremony and getting to the party! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Advice for future brides & grooms:  Nope!  Ultimately one way or another everyone should make the day what they want it to be. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There are things I'm sure I would change but I was so happy with the way everything went.  I am glad that we invested in an excellent photographer - I know that those photos will eventually be what we remember most from our day and I'm thrilled they turned out so well. Bride:  my new husband surprising me by singing to me at the reception and the 'reveal' with the kids was great fun! Favourite details:  the personalized M & M's and the photo of Marty's parents included as part of the decor Advice for future brides & grooms: don't get uptight over things you can't control...you'll be married by the end of the day anyway, which is the ultimate goal! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?  Marty would make sure that his sons were completely ready to go before picking them up, rather than getting dressed at the hotel, to avoid a 'missing shoes' emergency; other than that, we wouldn't change a thing....the day was great! What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Walking down the aisle with my Dad,   and seeing the look on JT's face. Having all of our closest friends and family together from near and far. I felt incredibly lucky. Dancing the night away with our amazing friends and family. What a blast. Groom:  Seeing Jen walk down the aisle, shaking her Dad's hand, and having all of our favorite people in the same place on our special day. Best wedding related decision: Hiring HRM, without a doubt.  And, having flip flops for the dance floor! Favourite detail: Our wedding tree, which guests stamped and signed is a great memory from the day. Advice for future brides & grooms: At first we were reluctant to take pictures together before the wedding, but it was a great decision. We felt even more relaxed after spending some time just the two of us before the ceremony. Plus, we got to enjoy a bit of cocktail hour! What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Groom: Surviving the ceremony and getting to the party! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Advice for future brides & grooms:  Nope!  Ultimately one way or another everyone should make the day what they want it to be. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Groom: Surviving the ceremony and getting to the party! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Advice for future brides & grooms:  Nope!  Ultimately one way or another everyone should make the day what they want it to be. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There are things I'm sure I would change but I was so happy with the way everything went.  I am glad that we invested in an excellent photographer - I know that those photos will eventually be what we remember most from our day and I'm thrilled they turned out so well. Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The group shot of everyone in the museum after the ceremony is definitely a favorite. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! But to be honest, there are so many amazing pictures it's hard to pick just one that was our favorite. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Groom: Surviving the ceremony and getting to the party! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The group shot of everyone in the museum after the ceremony is definitely a favorite. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! But to be honest, there are so many amazing pictures it's hard to pick just one that was our favorite. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Groom: Surviving the ceremony and getting to the party! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Advice for future brides & grooms:  Nope!  Ultimately one way or another everyone should make the day what they want it to be. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There are things I'm sure I would change but I was so happy with the way everything went.  I am glad that we invested in an excellent photographer - I know that those photos will eventually be what we remember most from our day and I'm thrilled they turned out so well. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Walking down the aisle with my Dad,   and seeing the look on JT's face. Having all of our closest friends and family together from near and far. I felt incredibly lucky. Dancing the night away with our amazing friends and family. What a blast. Groom:  Seeing Jen walk down the aisle, shaking her Dad's hand, and having all of our favorite people in the same place on our special day. Best wedding related decision: Hiring HRM, without a doubt.  And, having flip flops for the dance floor! Favourite detail: Our wedding tree, which guests stamped and signed is a great memory from the day. Advice for future brides & grooms: At first we were reluctant to take pictures together before the wedding, but it was a great decision. We felt even more relaxed after spending some time just the two of us before the ceremony. Plus, we got to enjoy a bit of cocktail hour! Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Advice for future brides & grooms:  Nope!  Ultimately one way or another everyone should make the day what they want it to be. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There are things I'm sure I would change but I was so happy with the way everything went.  I am glad that we invested in an excellent photographer - I know that those photos will eventually be what we remember most from our day and I'm thrilled they turned out so well. Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The group shot of everyone in the museum after the ceremony is definitely a favorite. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! But to be honest, there are so many amazing pictures it's hard to pick just one that was our favorite. Bride:  my new husband surprising me by singing to me at the reception and the 'reveal' with the kids was great fun! Groom:  the ceremony and how beautiful the bride looked Best wedding related decisions: having our kids as our wedding party and taking pictures before the ceremony; and of course having HRM Photography do our photos! Favourite details:  the personalized M & M's and the photo of Marty's parents included as part of the decor Advice for future brides & grooms: don't get uptight over things you can't control...you'll be married by the end of the day anyway, which is the ultimate goal! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?  Marty would make sure that his sons were completely ready to go before picking them up, rather than getting dressed at the hotel, to avoid a 'missing shoes' emergency; other than that, we wouldn't change a thing....the day was great! Best surprise of the day: after pouring rain all day, it stopped just when we started taking pictures! Bride: It was such a great day but I think that being able to celebrate with my 90 year old Grandmother was definitely a highlight for me. Of course, celebrating with all of my family and friends was also fantastic! Groom: Seeing Laura for the first time and having that moment all to ourselves. Being able to celebrate with my friends who came from all over Canada just for the weekend. Best wedding related decision:  Having Hannes and his groomsmen in their Navy uniforms. Also, incorporating some Naval wedding traditions for example, the Sword Arch. This really made for something new and exciting for us as well as for our guests. Favourite detail: Having the photo booth was my favorite thing! I think that I went in around 30 times with someone different every single time. Advice for future brides & grooms: Try to relax and really enjoy the day. It goes by so quickly so make sure that you are taking the time to appreciate all of your hard work! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There isn't really anything that we would do differently. We had beautiful weather, everyone was in great spirits, and every detail really came together for such a wonderful day. Best surprise of the day: All of the speeches were such a great surprise! They were so well written and were all so heartfelt, sincere, and incredibly funny. We really appreciated the work that went into them and all of their kind words are definitely unforgettable. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The group shot of everyone in the museum after the ceremony is definitely a favorite. I just really wanted to be able to capture the moment of everyone being there to celebrate with us. I'm glad we were able to fit everyone in! But to be honest, there are so many amazing pictures it's hard to pick just one that was our favorite. Anything else you'd like to add: Our day couldn't have been possible without all of our amazing vendors. We want to give a huge thank you and shout out to Russel Rossini. He really went over and above our expectations and really was a dream to work with. Nicole, from Auberge du Petit Prince, did an absolutely amazing job with both cakes and really captured exactly what we were looking for. Groom:  Seeing Jen walk down the aisle, shaking her Dad's hand, and having all of our favorite people in the same place on our special day. Best wedding related decision: Hiring HRM, without a doubt.  And, having flip flops for the dance floor! Favourite detail: Our wedding tree, which guests stamped and signed is a great memory from the day. Advice for future brides & grooms: At first we were reluctant to take pictures together before the wedding, but it was a great decision. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride:  No one memory stands out - just loved being with friends and family all day.  I had a great time! Groom: Surviving the ceremony and getting to the party! Best wedding related decision: Encouraging all our family to arrive in London a week early.  It was so great to have that week together, getting to know one another.  It made the day, and whole wedding week all that much more special. Favourite detail:  One of my bridesmaids AnneMarie brought red butterflies for each of the girls.  We ended up wearing them in our hair (and my mom wore one on her purse).  They were completely unplanned and unexpected but they ended up being the perfect touch! Advice for future brides & grooms:  Nope!  Ultimately one way or another everyone should make the day what they want it to be. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There are things I'm sure I would change but I was so happy with the way everything went.  I am glad that we invested in an excellent photographer - I know that those photos will eventually be what we remember most from our day and I'm thrilled they turned out so well.
