Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: A Rocket Dog Wedding

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?

Bride: There was so much to take in that day – the feeling of anticipation to see Matthew and wear my wedding dress…also highlights include seeing all of my bridesmaids all done up and everything that had been planned come together. The music at both the ceremony and reception was very special since it was performed by very good friends of ours. Seeing friends and family who we hadn’t seen in ages. I have to admit the CHEER at the reception done by friends of our was definately a highlight as well. Another favourite memory are the conversations Matthew and I had after the ceremony in between pictures and listening to all the kind words that friends and family spoke to us at the reception.

Groom: In many ways my favorite memories of the wedding day all blur together. The moments that stand out as most memorable, however, were those moments where it seemed that time stood still. I remember the nervous breakfast I had with my groomsmen and the enjoyable times we had leading up to the ceremony. I remember with picturesque clarity the moment that my beautiful wife took her first step down the aisle. I remember with a smile the skits that our friends and family put on during the reception that kept us all in stitches. I remember the heartfelt speeches that truly encapsulated the significance of that day and the loving family that surrounded us. And I remember the car ride home and the surreal feeling we got when we realized that, after months of planning, it was all over.

Favourite detail: The flowers!! I was so excited to see how all the colours looked so awesome together

Advice for future brides & grooms: Make sure you stop and take in the day…. it goes by so quickly and there were a few times that we just stopped looked around and took it all in…. We are really greatful that we did that.

Best surprise of the day: It would have to be the cheer that friends of ours did it was hilarious. Also that duct tape really does fix everything!! (Thanks Livia)

Dana + Tom | London Ontario Engagement Photography

Dana and Tom will be getting married Thanksgiving weekend, so we chose the springtime as a nice contrast for their engagement photos. Our first attempt at this session was interupted by rain & wind (but we still managed to get some cherry blossom shots!) and our second was absolutely perfect! Can’t wait for their wedding!

I wish everyone had beautiful farm properties for their engagement sessions! What a treat! I met up with Cindy and Steve on a beautiful summer Sunday in Strathroy for their engagement session. Love these shots! Lindsay will be photographing their wedding in a couple of weeks, although their reception is on the farm in Strathroy their ceremony & photo session will be in downtown Toronto which will make for an interesting contrast to these photos!

What a fun wedding! I teamed up with Photography by Yvonne to capture Pam & Dave’s fabulous wedding day! Yvonne took the lead on this one, allowing me to be more of a second shooter for a nice change (and great warm up to start off my 2010 wedding season). Even though I was “second shooter”, Pam & Dave were such fantastic subjects I still seemed to take almost as many photos as I would at a wedding of my own! Here are just a few of the images I took throughout the day. I’ll leave the rest of the story for our lovely bride to tell…

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Elegant & Classy

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Seeing my best friend waiting for me at the end of the isle.
Groom: Seeing Pam at the church.

Best wedding related purchase: My dress. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was the first one I tried on. I remember looking at myself in the mirror in the change room and my hands started to shake… I knew it was “the one”.

Favourite detail: The Birdcage veil made for me by my mother.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Enjoy every second and don’t stess about the little things.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Absolutely nothing!!

Best surprise of the day: The priest sat us in the church so we could see all of our guests. I think that was the best part… seeing all of our family and friends there celebrating with us.

Kristi and Lindsey are a fantastic couple, referred to me by the fab Sandra & Darren (thanks guys!). We met at the Starbucks where they went on their first (blind) date and wandered around the area chatting about how they spent that first date and their wedding plans. A friend of theirs works at the Flatiron Building and we were lucky to be allowed in to take a few photos! These two were married on June 26th, 2010 and I can’t wait to share their amazing wedding photos soon!
