There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Get the ceremony started earlier so that our pictures wouldn't get rained out :) Best surprise of the day: Our reaction from our friends and families to our salsa performance. We were on a high. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The photo of Jeff and I in front of the cabin. Lindsay captured us in a way that made it seem like we were in our own little world. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Groom: The bride coming down the stairs at the venue and heading down the aisle outdoors.  The first dance.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. Favourite detail: the invitations we designed to reflect our interests and taste. Advice for future brides & grooms: Start planning early.  Don't go overboard fretting about little details - you won't have time to notice most of them anyway. I must say that the surprise ambush ceremony on a bus was a challenge to photograph....but oh so fun and memorable! Amy and Richard met while working for VIVA transit and wanted to incorporate that into their big day. - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Fun, intimate, unique, eco-friendly. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Seeing everyone's reaction when we ambushed them! Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! Looking through these photos gets me excited for more warm and sunny weddings this Summer! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: simple, elegant, casual, personal. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Groom: The bride coming down the stairs at the venue and heading down the aisle outdoors.  The first dance.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. Favourite detail: the invitations we designed to reflect our interests and taste. Advice for future brides & grooms: Start planning early.  Don't go overboard fretting about little details - you won't have time to notice most of them anyway. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No. Best surprise of the day: Finding out who had a birthday that day.  Instead of clinking glasses, guests had to show that they were born on our wedding day to request that the bride and groom kiss. I must say that the surprise ambush ceremony on a bus was a challenge to photograph....but oh so fun and memorable! Amy and Richard met while working for VIVA transit and wanted to incorporate that into their big day. - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Fun, intimate, unique, eco-friendly. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Seeing everyone's reaction when we ambushed them! Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nothing at all! Best surprise of the day: Our son, Nikolas, behaved very well throughout the day, especially during the ceremony. There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Get the ceremony started earlier so that our pictures wouldn't get rained out :) Best surprise of the day: Our reaction from our friends and families to our salsa performance. We were on a high. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The photo of Jeff and I in front of the cabin. Lindsay captured us in a way that made it seem like we were in our own little world. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! I must say that the surprise ambush ceremony on a bus was a challenge to photograph....but oh so fun and memorable! Amy and Richard met while working for VIVA transit and wanted to incorporate that into their big day. - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Fun, intimate, unique, eco-friendly. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Seeing everyone's reaction when we ambushed them! Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Get the ceremony started earlier so that our pictures wouldn't get rained out :) Best surprise of the day: Our reaction from our friends and families to our salsa performance. We were on a high. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Seeing everyone's reaction when we ambushed them! Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Groom: The bride coming down the stairs at the venue and heading down the aisle outdoors.  The first dance.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. Favourite detail: the invitations we designed to reflect our interests and taste. Advice for future brides & grooms: Start planning early.  Don't go overboard fretting about little details - you won't have time to notice most of them anyway. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No. Best surprise of the day: Finding out who had a birthday that day.  Instead of clinking glasses, guests had to show that they were born on our wedding day to request that the bride and groom kiss. I must say that the surprise ambush ceremony on a bus was a challenge to photograph....but oh so fun and memorable! Amy and Richard met while working for VIVA transit and wanted to incorporate that into their big day. - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Fun, intimate, unique, eco-friendly. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Seeing everyone's reaction when we ambushed them! Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Get the ceremony started earlier so that our pictures wouldn't get rained out :) Best surprise of the day: Our reaction from our friends and families to our salsa performance. We were on a high. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! I must say that the surprise ambush ceremony on a bus was a challenge to photograph....but oh so fun and memorable! Amy and Richard met while working for VIVA transit and wanted to incorporate that into their big day. - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Fun, intimate, unique, eco-friendly. What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Seeing everyone's reaction when we ambushed them! Groom: Having two 60 ft buses down Main St. Unionville Best wedding related decision: Taking on all the DIY projects, not only did we save tons of money, those items were also what made the day uniquely ours. Favourite detail: The multicultural food. The frappaccino on the bus and the pop bottles during the photo session. The Ontario sparkling apple cider for the toast. And the Marble Slab station at the reception! Everybody loved them! Advice for future brides & grooms: 1) Communicate with each other. Not knowing what is going on is the #1 stress inducer. 2) Don't get too caught up with the details. Those who are truly your friends are there to celebrate your committment and love for each other, not the prime rib at the reception! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nothing at all! Best surprise of the day: Our son, Nikolas, behaved very well throughout the day, especially during the ceremony. There were some surprises throughout the day like torrential rain and a spectacular surprise salsa dance from the new happy couple. I am so glad Michelle and Jeff stuck with us in the rain for some beautiful photos! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: An intimate personalized affair What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Our ceremony at the outdoor chapel in front of our nearest and dearest. Groom: The first time I saw Michelle walk down the aisle. Absolutely stunning, hot! Best wedding related decision: Booking at the Ancaster Mill, the venue is gorgeous, food was simply delectable and we had so much fun! Favourite detail: Our wedding cake was simply perfect... incorporating our colours and the cake topper she created was so us!!! Advice for future brides & grooms: Do the things that are most important to you and try no to get into the details: Ie Costly items that don't matter too much in the end. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Get the ceremony started earlier so that our pictures wouldn't get rained out :) Best surprise of the day: Our reaction from our friends and families to our salsa performance. We were on a high. Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The photo of Jeff and I in front of the cabin. Lindsay captured us in a way that made it seem like we were in our own little world. It always feels like an adventure hopping on the ferry to head out of the city and even with a little rain, the day was perfection. There were so many gorgeous details including Rino's spectacular dress and shoes. We also loved the Canadian & Japanese elements that tied everything together. -Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Biggest party with loved ones.  What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?  Bride:My brother singing at the church ceremony, our tango first dance, and our friends singing karaoke as the music for our wedding slideshow. Groom: Having our friends and family all party together - including my Grandma, who partied like it's 1946!  Best wedding related decision: Our venue - the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands  Favourite detail: The Japanese fans for our guests at the church - it was a hot day!  Advice for future brides & grooms: Figure out what's really important to you, then spend your time, energy and your money on these things. Set realistic expectations and don't worry if something goes a little awry. Enjoy the day and everyone else will too!  Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I didn't get to speak to every guest that came to the wedding. We should have thought of a receiving line. We should have explained what the party favors were. They were Japanese curtains used for doorways. Instead of one wedding cake, we had a dessert table full of variety. It was too good, we should have had more of everything! What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: Getting ready with the bridesmaids.  Finishing the ceremony and relaxing.  The speeches. Groom: The bride coming down the stairs at the venue and heading down the aisle outdoors.  The first dance.  The speeches. Best wedding related decision: Choosing an all inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception that also had hotel rooms for our out of town guests. Favourite detail: the invitations we designed to reflect our interests and taste. Advice for future brides & grooms: Start planning early.  Don't go overboard fretting about little details - you won't have time to notice most of them anyway. Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No. Best surprise of the day: Finding out who had a birthday that day.  Instead of clinking glasses, guests had to show that they were born on our wedding day to request that the bride and groom kiss. Bride: Walking down the aisle with my parents and marrying my best friend... Groom: Our families and friends coming together and marrying my bride... Best wedding related decision: Getting married at Lansing Gospel Hall Favourite detail: Red shoes Advice for future brides & grooms: Enjoy the day because it goes by so quickly! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not get married on the hottest day of the year! Can you believe that Kara hand made all of the bouquets? These two also belong to a very fun group of friends that I have now had the pleasure of photographing 5 weddings for! - Lindsay Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: simple but different/fun What are you favorite memories of your wedding day? Bride: The entire day was amazing, and can you believe it- nothing went wrong! The best part was walking down the Yonge street and riding the subway/street car with all of the family, friends and new husband in my wedding dress! We got lots of attention! Groom: I have to agree with my wife, the journey from the church to the reception was the best! Best wedding related decision: keeping our wedding small and making things ourselves! Favourite detail: the flowers that I made and our Lego wedding cake. Advice for future brides & grooms: Don't stress over the small things, in the end just have fun and everything will be perfect. It is about having fun and celebrating! Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?  No it was perfect!
