Alexis & Steven planned an intimate wedding at Alexis’ family cottages in Ipperwash. For their cocktail hour, guests all received picnic baskets and enjoyed a casual lunch on the property. The couple love Portugal so had an authentic Portugeuse meal with their favorite wines and it was a big hit with their guests (and photographers!) A private champagne toast on the beach before they danced the night away under the stars thanks to a clear top tent made for a truly perfect end to an amazing day!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Romantic, relaxed, cottage-y, DIY, personal
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Seeing everyone smiling throughout the day, and having a dance floor of all ages enjoying themselves.
Groom: the ceremony and the vows.
Best wedding related decision: Having Portuguese food for dinner!
Favourite detail: The clear top tent strung with hundreds of fairy lights.
Advice for future brides & grooms: Planning takes longer than you think so make sure to take breaks that are not wedding related. Go for a walk, read together, whatever helps you relax.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nope. It was pretty perfect.
Best surprise of the day: The weather was supposed to be either a thunderstorm or really hot. Instead
it was nice with a refreshing breeze!
