I loved being a part of this fun couple’s wedding day at Windermere Manor! Despite the rain, we had a wonderful day and were able to do the majority of their pictures outside in the beautiful fall colours!

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: I loved being surrounded by our family and closest friends to celebrate our love and commitment to each other. I loved our first dance together, and dancing all night long with everyone.
Groom: Our first look and listening to the speeches written for us.

Best wedding related decision: Choosing HRM as our photographer, and having a first look!! ‎ Our DJ was also incredible and added so much to the night.

Favourite detail:‎ I’m not sure if this is the type of detail you’re looking for, as I feel like at the material details we planned I honestly didn’t notice on the day of because of how much was going on. Our DJ had us choose a song for later in the evening, and when we heard it we had to drop whatever we were doing and meet on the dance floor. This was an incredible moment for us to reconnect and remember that the day was about our love for each other. I’m so grateful that our vendors were so well versed in the wedding industry and knew how to make our day special.

Advice for future brides & grooms: ‎The day will fly by no matter how much you try to be in the moment. It’s worth that little bit more for vendors who know what they are doing. Plan moments in advance to spend with each other throughout the day, whether it’s on the dance floor, or before or after the ceremony. Even if it’s just for 5 or 10 minutes.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Can I say the weather? As it poured most of the day. Although Heather managed to use it in our photos to capture beautiful moments. Everything worked out in the end and all the hiccups just made it that much more memorable.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): It is so hard to choose just one, as we love so many of them, but if we had to choose it would be our night shot out in the rain. You can see the rain pouring down, and yet it still felt so magical and we really had fun taking the photos.
