When I first met Allison casually through a friend, she already knew who I was, her future wedding photographer! She pretty much told me that before John had proposed! I was completely flattered that Allison & John booked their wedding date around my availability, what an honour! Everything about their wedding day was perfect, from the personal vows to the amazing September weather! The only September weekend that did not threaten rain! I had such a blast with them and their hilarous wedding party, it was definitely non-stop laughter all day long! Congrats Allison and John, we had a great time documenting your special day and look forward to capture more memories for you in the future!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: autumnal, romantic, & personalized
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Writing and reciting our own vows and the speeches!
Groom: Seeing my future wife for the first time walking down the aisle.
Best wedding related decision: Picking a venue that had a solid back-up option incase of rain (although we didn’t need it!)
Favourite detail: Our signature cocktail drink – The Berger Bliss – complete with a gummy burger garnish!
Advice for future brides & grooms: Trust your photographer! Niki convinced us to venture into some brush (complete with thorns and thistles). She told us “trust me the light is amazing here” – and she was right! The photos are stunning!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No!
Best surprise of the day: The weather! As a bride, this was the only thing that stressed me out during the whole wedding process because it was the one thing I couldn’t control! A week out the weather forecast was calling for rain, but as we got closer to the big day it changed and turned into nothing but sun and the perfect temperature.
Anything else you’d like to add: Many of our married friends told us to be sure to enjoy every moment of the day because it flies by – we took this advice to heart and savoured every memory from our special day.
