Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic Elegance
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: It is hard to pick favourites, the whole day was amazing. I loved getting ready with the girls in the morning, and seeing Jason as I walked toward him down the isle. I also loved how our officiant shared the things we love about each other in our ceremony, It made it feel much more personal.
Groom: The whole day was perfect, from the weather to the setup and atmosphere. Dana was stunning as always … I tried my best to compete, but I was no match. The speeches, ceremony, and party had a good amount of “funny” mixed with the love. Tough to pick a top moment because it was all so great.
Best wedding related decision: Hiring the perfect team of vendors. Our venue was stunning and our day wouldn’t have been the same without HRM. Heather kept our day on track and captured it more beautifully than we could have imagined.
Favourite detail: We loved the mirrored seating chart and welcome sign as it was something we worked on together before the wedding with the help of Jason’s mom.
Advice for future brides & grooms: Finish writing your speech before 2 am the night before the wedding haha. In all seriousness just try and take in every moment of the day, it honestly goes by so quickly. We went out to take some night time photos with HRM and it was the perfect moment to be alone with Jason to unwind and take in the whole day together.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? The day was pretty perfect, the only regret I have is not being able to finish my meal and not eating the late night poutine haha. The adrenaline really affected our appetites.
Best surprise of the day: We loved all of the speeches, everyone was so well spoken and it was so great to share old stories. My parent’s even played a song I recorded when I was 17 which Jason and I danced to.
