Our first surprise wedding!!! Amanda is my daughter’s dance teacher, and I was so thrilled when she told me the news that she was engaged, even more thrilled when she said 100% she would be booking her wedding date around our availability and OVER THE MOON when she and James decided that they wanted to have a SURPRISE wedding and that I would be one of a handful of people in on the surprise!!! Everything was all set and ready for an indoor venue May 2021 and then COVID hit… after many, many conversations, a few tears and some brainstorming with bubbles in hand plan C aka a third date and new outdoor venue fell into place and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly! At the 11th hour, the forecast shifted so the outdoor ceremony was a GO, the guests arrived for the couple’s “engagement party” and as their MC invited everyone to sit down for dinner and toast the couple, he also announced that the engagement party was CANCELLED and instead all the guests would be witnessing Amanda & James exchanging vows in just a few minutes!!! The reactions were priceless – squeals of joy, jaws dropped and a collective hurrah from the entire room! Exactly what this photographer and all their guests needed amidst these crazy times – pure happiness!!! Thank you, thank you to Amanda and James for bringing such joy to everyone who witnessed this amazing surprise, it was perfect!!!!
