This wedding will be remembered as a favorite – Adriana and Peter are an absolute joy to be around. So many awesome moments – Adriana’s Grandma as the ring bearer, an random incredible field of dandelions and the best groom’s speech I’ve ever heard. I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole day!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: classy, elegant, and fun
What are you favourite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: The whole ceremony was incredible I felt like I was surrounded by golden light. Everything faded away until it was just Pete and I. I remember wishing that it would last forever. My other favourite memories include my bridesmaid waking up squealing with excitement, the look on my Maid of Honour’s face pretty much the whole day, the beautiful song written and performed for us by the Best Man’s wife, dancing the night away, looking around and seeing the most important people in our lives there to support us.
Groom: Hanging out with the guys at the hotel, before the ceremony. We watched hilarious videos from The Onion on my laptop, and Jonathan and I practiced our acapella. In the ceremony, the moment when Adriana appeared on the balcony, everyone turned to look (and gasp), and the music changed with perfect timing. It was a truly dramatic and (dare I say?) almost Hollywood-perfect moment. Pretty much the entire reception…the performances, the moments when everyone was dancing in a circle, the Testostertones, all the speeches…
Best wedding-related purchase: My dress. I searched long and hard for my dream dress and I felt amazing in it.
Favourite detail: Having my 93 year old Granny as ring bearer (my band was her wedding ring)
Advice for future brides & grooms: Try and take pictures with everyone who is at your wedding. I regret not getting pictures of us with some of our friends and with friends of the family.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not stressing as much. I drove myself crazy with details in the months leading up to the wedding and it really doesn’t seem worth it now. Of course, everything came together on our wedding day without me having to do anything so maybe it was worth the effort.
Best surprise of the day:
Bride: During the ceremony when I realized that the song being performed was the one Pete wrote for me in 2003.
Groom: Hmm…there weren’t really any huge surprises that I can remember. The song written for us was a nice surprise, as was finding the dandelion field for photos. Everything else was meticulously planned, really.
