It is always extra special to photograph the wedding of a friend and I had been looking forward to Adina and Andy’s wedding all year! This was an intimate celebration that truly captured their love and personality. To top it all off, I got to hear some great music too…my hubby Matt playing drums for the amazing band ‘The Good Intentions’.

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Relaxed, inclusive – a great party!
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: I loved dancing the hora with our closest family and friends, and celebrating our love with the people we love the most.
Groom: The thunder that was so well timed! Right as the Rabbi spoke of the significance of the occasion, the sky opened and marked the occasion!
Best wedding related decision: to not have a 5 course meal. The food was light, delicious, and there was more time to dance!
Favourite detail: Andy and I are all about comfort. On his feet were converse running shoes, and under my dress: birkenstocks! (they were white, of course).
Advice for future brides & grooms: Do away with things that feel “essential” to a wedding but don’t match with your style. You’ll have more fun at the wedding that reflects who you both are, to the bone.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not a thing.
Best surprise of the day: Friends of ours shared special news with us because we were getting married: they’re having a baby!
Anything else you’d like to add: The best part was knowing that the people who we surrounded ourselves with – friends, family, but also professionals, knew us well and knew what we wanted – it allowed us to feel confident and relaxed throughout the day! Many of our vendors (including our photographer and amazing band) are people close to our family, and we were touched to have them be a part of our day.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?) : There is one picture of Andy and I walking down the path. We were talking about something and Andy stopped and stretched out to do a dance move. Someone caught it on camera, and it’s my favourite picture! (below)
