Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Cute and Classy
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: I loved it all! However, if I had to narrow it down, I’d say hearing Steve’s wedding vows, watching our engagement video at our reception and dancing the night away with our family and friends.
Groom: I really enjoyed the ceremony and finally getting to see Amanda in the dress that she had been hiding from me for so long. I also loved it when the groomsman walked in to the reception with their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles socks showing and “Danger Zone” playing in the background.
Best wedding related decision: Screening our engagement film for the first time at the wedding as it was such a unique and special experience for us. It was also great to relive that moment and share it with our family and friends.
Favourite detail: We really loved our infused olive oil wedding favours. As time-consuming as they were to make, we thought they turned out beautifully and we were really pleased that everyone liked them.
Advice for future brides & grooms: Do things early when you have the time and there will be very little stress the week of the wedding. Even though that is standard advice, it really does make a difference. We did (almost!) nothing wedding-related the week leading up to the wedding and it was glorious! Also, make sure you have both photography and videography as inevitably you won’t get a chance to experience all of the special moments that happen during the day and it is amazing to get to see everything from both perspectives.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? We had such an amazing day and we are so grateful for how things turned out that we wouldn’t change a thing! We only wish it could have lasted longer.
Best surprise of the day: Making it through our first dance without falling over each other; and yes, that was surprising given limited rehearsal time we had!
Anything else you’d like to add: We had such an amazing team of vendors that we can’t thank enough! They made a world of difference in planning our wedding and we were thrilled with how everything came together in the end.
