This wedding was such a special one for me to photograph for many reasons! I’ve know Ana for years, we actually met through my photography business and she’s been promising me that when her big day came no matter what I would be her photograher! We joked with Michael that she had picked me first before he even came along! Through a wonderful twist of fate, Ana & Michael’s wedding ended up being HRM Photography’s 1000th wedding!!! I went through our database a couple of times to double check as I just couldn’t believe it, as I knew Ana more than many others would be so thrilled to celebrate this milestone for me!! Thank you so much Ana & Michael for asking me to capture this amazing day for you!!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Timeless elegance with a twist
What are your favorite memories of your wedding day? Having all our most cherished family and friends gathered around us to share in this milestone in our relationship. St. Peter’s Cathedral is truly at the center of our bond as this is where we met, so it was especially fitting to bring everyone together in this sacred space to witness our union.
Best wedding related decision: Can we have two?! The first would undeniably be having HRM Photography (and the incredibly talented Heather) document our wedding day. This decision has been at the core of my bridal dream for as long as I can remember, and having Heather there behind the lens, I knew her keen and creative eye would simply produce magic. The second would be choosing to host our reception at the London Club. It is such an elegant and distinctive venue in the heart of downtown, and our celebration was the evening we dreamed of unfolding before our very eyes.
Favourite detail: My favourite detail must be our white décor throughout our celebration space. Our goal was to have a traditional but romantic space, and our mono-chromatic colour scheme allowed for our guests to bring their own colour to the festivities which simply enhanced the beauty and elegance of our stunning décor.
Advice for future brides & grooms: Planning is crucial to make sure you enjoy every moment of your special day. Do not sacrifice hiring vendors who are key to your wedding vision as they will capture the feel of the day and enable it to live on in your memories forevermore.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Our wedding day was perfect in our eyes. We are beyond thrilled with how wonderfully everything went and loved every second of the day! We would not change on single thing!
Best surprise of the day: Being the 1000th wedding to be captured by the fabulous HRM Photography! What an honour!
Anything else you’d like to add: We LOVED that our ceremony was “unplugged”. We highly encourage you to invite your guests to remain unplugged for your ceremony so that they can be fully present in the moment (and no awkward photos of people obstructing your entrance down the aisle!).
