Barb and Jason are one of those easy going couples that I hit it off with right away! After our first meeting, we set up a fall engagement shoot at High Park. The weather was unique that day as their was a light sprinkling of snow on top of all of the fall leaves! It made for a perfect backdrop for our shoot.
On the wedding day, I had such a great time photographing Barb and the girls at her parent’s house before the ceremony and was greeted by a very enthusiastic set of groomsmen when we arrived at the Manor for the ceremony. Jason, like most grooms, was a little apprehensive about having his photo taken at first. I was very impressed on the wedding day as Jason not only cooperated with us, but also thanked us for capturing his wedding day! I love the emotion of a wedding day, but it is always special to see a groom that is overcome with love and emotion.
After a beautiful outdoor ceremony (including a very special dove release), we were left with a very limited amount of time to take the family and bridal party photos. The Manor was the perfect setting as we were able to find all of the beautiful scenery we needed right in the courtyard! I always prefer doing the larger group photos first so that we end up with just the bride and groom at the end of the photo session. This is a great time to capture romantic photos of the newly married couple and also allows our couple to really soak in the day.
