Kelly + Paul
{Windermere Manor London Ontario Wedding Photography}

Kelly and Paul's wedding day was bursting with love from the very first moment we picked up our cameras! This amazing couple had a cute Sunday brunch wedding that included heart warming speeches from the couple and loved ones, to a fun lively mid-day dance floor with live band! Their daughter Grace was adorable and really was the star of the show! We truly loved everything about this day!!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Relaxed, Outdoor gathering with Family and Friends
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride:  My favourite part of the day was right before I walked down the aisle to Paul.  Standing there with my family and knowing that "THE" moment was finally here was an amazing experience.  I was so happy and couldn't wait to get started.
Groom: My favourite memory of the wedding was how intimate our vows were.  It felt like I was sharing my vows with only Kelly even though all of our friends and family were watching.
Best wedding related decision: Deciding to marry eachother!!! LOL Is that a trick question ? The second best wedding related decision was choosing Windermere Manor to host our day.  They were incredibly helpful and made the planning process as stress-free as possible.
Favourite detail:  Everything was so perfect, its hard to choose but we really loved the wagon my mom had decorated for Grace.  It was so sweet, and looked great and Grace really loved her special ride.
Advice for future brides & grooms:  Try to relax and enjoy yourself - the day will go by so quickly.  Everyone tells you this, but its truly amazing how fast the whole day goes by.  And try not to sweat the small stuff, it ends up not being important in the big picture.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not a thing! it was a great day
Best surprise of the day:
Bride- For me it was how beautiful the weather was that day! We had been worried it would be rainy or cold and it was sunny, hot and beautiful
Groom- For me it was how comfortable and relaxed the day felt.  I was so much more relaxed than I thought I would be.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): The photo of Grace, Paul and Kelly after the ceremony - just how happy the three of us look, a happy family and surrounded by all the love of our family and friends, we are all just glowing in this photo.  It captures what we wanted the essence of the ceremony to be about - us as a family.

Sarah + Nick
{Benmiller Inn Goderich Ontario Wedding Photography}

Fall 2017 truly was crazy warm one! Sarah and Nick had another one of the hottest days of the year for their wedding, but that didn't stop us from exploring every inch of the stunning grounds at the Benmiller Inn. We had such a blast spending the day with this super fun couple and their wedding party! It was such a joy to get to document the love between these two on their special day!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic chic, beautiful and comfortable

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Everyone I love being in one place, and my first dance with my husband.
Groom: Watching the bride come down the aisle.

Best wedding related decision: Literally having Niki Patel as our photographer (other than marrying each other) and also the midnight snack( mini breakfast sandwich sliders and pancakes on a stick)

Favourite detail: Our vows that we wrote to one another. They were beautiful and sincere, and added a little extra magic.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Don’t take the process of planning a wedding too seriously and don’t worry about every little thing going wrong. I worried so much I almost forgot to enjoy it. I thought for sure something terrible would happen, but then the day was literal perfection.
Other couples who also gave me this same advice, take some time, even if it is just minutes, take your significant other and just have a private moment. The day will go by so fast and those little moments where you can just stop to appreciate one another will mean the most.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? The weather!! Haha it was October but 28 degrees outside, I was not prepared to wear my beautiful(but heavy) dress in that heat. Wished for the cold and never got it! Maybe the planning process and having more help then just doing it ourselves.

Best surprise of the day: My husbands vows. They were magical. And my bridesmaids speeches, who knew they could be so eloquent!

Anything else you'd like to add: I felt so prepared filling out all of the questionnaires for our photographer Niki ahead of time, and we worked extremely well together so that I was able to capture all the moments with my extremely large and somewhat difficult families. It worked out so well!

Kate + Andrew
{Paletta Mansion Burlington Ontario Wedding Photography}

Kate and Andrew's day was another incredibly hot mid-September wedding, but that didn't put a damper on the laughter and happiness of their day! We knew it was going to be a blast of a day when Kate had an accidental first look with her dad! Both of their reactions were absolutely hilarious! It's not very often we get to shoot weddings in Burlington, and this was our first one at Paletta Mansion. From getting to explore the rocky lakeshore to the stunning castle-like like venue, it really was a photographer's playground! Getting to spend the day with this fun loving and laid back couple only made it better!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Easygoing, intimate, fun

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Walking down the aisle after fretting all day about set up and trying to memorize my vows; then just seeing Andrew waiting for me and just letting it all go and enjoying the moment.
Groom: Seeing Kate for the first time walking down aisle. Our officiant was great with his many seemingly unplanned history lessons. Speeches from everyone were all really well done -- thoughtful and funny.

Best wedding related decision: So many! Doing low key decor with lots of greenery but getting the Juliet roses I really had wanted, we did a lot of the decor ourselves and while it made the day of busy I really enjoyed it! Our DJ and HRM photographers were fantastic and made the day for us. Having our wedding cake made by my bridesmaid was perfect, it tasted way better and cost so much less! The Hersey's Kiss chocolate-kissing game set the tone so perfectly for dinner.

Favourite detail: Having our sweetheart table with the chaise that both sets of parents helped to restore. Andrew and I were able to spend some private time together during meals and it allowed us to get up and walk the room to say hello to everyone without a formal receiving line.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Hire a wedding planner if you want, do it all yourself if you want. Whatever it is that works for you make it happen. It's such a fantastic day for you and your partner that should be FOR you and your partner.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nope! It was perfectly us.

Best surprise of the day: My father's speech (father of the bride), we were all sure he would roast me as he had my brother, but instead he came out with a really emotional sweet speech.

Abbey + David
{The Hunt Club London Ontario Wedding Photography}

From the moment that I met Abbey and David, I knew I was going to love photographing their big day! This couple really made my job so easy, the love between them is so visible from every glance and touch. While their wedding day happened to fall on one of the hottest days of the year (in mid-September too!), we still had an absolute blast capturing every moment! Abbey looked absolutely breathtaking in her amazing Hayley Paige gown, she totally rocked it! From being surrounded by their incredibly sweet family and loved ones, to getting to spend some one-on-one time with them, I loved every second of this adorable couple's wedding day!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Classic, Romantic and Fun

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Our first look, saying our vows and our first dance
Groom: Our first dance and seeing all of our friends and family come together in one place and develop their own friendships with each other!

Best wedding related decision: Choosing the London Hunt and Country Club as our venue. Selecting our first dance song, which perfectly captured our relationship and our feelings of the day.

Favourite detail: The fairy lights above the dance floor and our Peruvian themed cocktail hour.

Advice for future brides & grooms: To make your ceremony more personal and memorable, consider writing your own vows and including a message about your love for each other. While there are many DIY-type wedding decorations that can be used to make the wedding personalized, nothing beats the classic look of lots of flowers filling the room! Finally, enjoy every moment of your wedding day - there are few times in your life when every person you know and love will be in the same room with you to celebrate your love.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nothing, it was the perfect day.

Best surprise of the day: Abbey’s two younger cousins tearing it up on the dance floor - lots of laughs and great memories! Each of our guests who participated in our kissing game by singing a song with the word “love” in it!

Anything else you'd like to add: Niki was amazing throughout our entire day. Not only did she do an amazing job capturing the moments from our special day, she also helped us to manage the 40 degree heat and even helped bustle Abbey’s dress. She was truly our super hero that day!

Samantha + Jason
{Elsie Perrin Estate London Ontario Wedding Photography}

Samantha & Jason had a beautiful morning wedding at Elsie Perrin Estate. The light there is so pretty, especially in the fall! We had a lot of fun with this easy going couple!

- Heather {London Ontario Wedding Photographer}

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: simple and elegant.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: driving to Collingwood together for our honeymoon and talking about our favourite parts of the day.
Groom: the moments at the altar together

Best wedding related decision: working with people who knew our venue well and had a lot of wedding experience - it made the day go so smoothly!

Favourite detail: that the cake made by Jason’s mother was displayed so nicely, and all of our floral pieces.

Advice for future brides & grooms: This day is about you and all the people who supported your journey together, but don’t get lost in the details. Know what you want, what you don’t want, and what you’re willing to be flexible on before you dive in to the planning process. Make it your own so that you walk away with no regrets!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Practice bustling my dress with my mother - we never did get it right.

Best surprise of the day: That Heather included our fur-child in the getting ready photos with the groomsmen. We are thrilled she was part of our special day!
