Jennifer + Graeme
{Casa Loma Toronto Ontario Wedding Photography}

This wedding was such a treat to photograph! I have known Graeme since high school and also photographed his brother's wedding (and lots of family photo sessions following!). It's been years since I have photographed a Casa Loma wedding, and Lindsay was able to join me for this one too making it even more exciting! This day was without a doubt the HOTTEST day of the year, and the couple and their wedding party rocked it despite us all sweating buckets! Casa Loma has got to be one of the most stunning wedding venues ever and paired with an amazing couple made this such a great day to photograph!

Having a beautiful wedding at the family cottage? A million times YES! What a gorgeous setting for an outdoor ceremony. I love the portraits we captured just before sunset down by the lake. My quads still remember the steep hike back up the property for the reception too!

There is something so fun about looking back at photos from the hottest days of the summer while also contemplating when to head out to shovel the mountain of snow outside. I loved our walk through Unionville to capture engagement photos for Tanya and Robert and can't wait for hot summer days to return.

Photographing a wedding day for any couple is heartwarming, but when it's an old friend from over two decades ago, it's super extra special! I had the best day following Danielle and her handsome boys around downtown Toronto for their lovely wedding celebration.

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Romantic summer downtown Toronto wedding !

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: the ceremony with all our family and friends, our son actually walked down the aisle!! Taking photos around the city and stealing a quick moment alone before being introduced into the reception
Groom: getting Ethan (our son) ready in his outfit, our first glance, dancing the night away

Best wedding related decision:  our venue was amazing!

Favourite detail: the flowers by Pocket of Posies

Advice for future brides & grooms: we got the advice from our officiant that once the wedding gets started it's like a train, once it starts in motion you can't stop it so don't stress just go with the flow. The other piece of advice is to try to steal a few minutes just for yourselves as newly weds before the chaos and fun of the night pull you in different directions

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I would have splurged for the bubbly!

Best surprise of the day: Ethan walked down the aisle! We weren't sure that was going to work out!

Anything else you'd like to add: Our cake was incredible, so beautiful and so incredibly delicious we were so happy to have left overs!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic chic with elegant touches.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride:  The crazy-fun dancing during the reception, especially leading the traditional Greek bride’s dance “Oraia Poy 'Nai I Nifi Mas” with my family and friends.
Groom: Seeing Victoria walk down the aisle.

Best wedding related decision:  Our venue, the 100 year old barn at the Exeter Golf Club is beautiful inside and out, with great staff and a beautiful golf course for our ceremony and photographs.

Favourite detail:  All of the handmade touches my mom and I made together.

Advice for future brides & grooms:  If you are planning your own wedding, make sure you have a clear idea of what you want the day to be like from the start.  Once you have found it, stop searching the internet for more ideas.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?  Other than getting a videographer, nothing.  It was a great day.

Best surprise of the day:  Not losing Victoria’s car keys when they were placed on top of our SUV by a friend.  The keys survived the 30 km drive, at 90 km/hr, from our accommodation to the wedding venue.  Talk about lucky!

Anything else you'd like to add: It was so special to have our baby girl Ryann as a flower girl.
