Dana and Tom are one of those couples that I’ve just had a great time with every step of their wedding process – from our first meeting, to their engagement session, to their big day – we had a blast together and I felt more like an old friend than the “hired photographer”. I love doing these questionnaires with our couples post wedding – “elegant, romantic, fall & fun” is exactly how I would have described Dana & Tom’s day – mission accomplished guys!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Elegant, romantic, fall, and fun.
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Walking down the aisle with my Dad (something I had always dreamed about) and seeing Tom for the very first time.
Groom: Seeing Dana for the very first time. She took my breath away.
Best wedding related decision: Hosting our wedding and reception at the same location. We bussed in guests (because many were from out of town and had no idea where they were going) so people were able to relax and have a great time without worrying about driving.
Favourite detail: Our flowers. I would have to say especially my bouquet. From the pumpkin to the wonderful pallet of colours, I was so in love with it. Lucy from ParaTi blew everyone away with her work. All of the flower details really just added to our fall theme. I think it was the thing we got the most compliments on (besides me and my dress of course!).
Advice for future brides & grooms: We are going to give the same advice that people gave us, step back and take it all in. Try to stop periodically throughout the day and just enjoy what is happening around you.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Definitely not, we loved everything about the day.
Best surprise of the day:
(Bride) When my Dad showed up with a small wrapped package from Tom which included a handmade card and a small gift. The best things come in small packages! The whole thing made me cry. He out did himself that day.
(Groom) I was surprised at just how beautiful Dana’s dress was, it was not anything like I had expected and I loved it. I was blown away at the fact that it had chocolate brown on it and just how good it looked.
Anything else you’d like to add: We were so glad we went with HRM Photography. Heather and Niki were able to capture all of the special moments of our day without us even noticing. When the photos came back we were just so excited to see the posed and candid shots and they were able to encompass our amazing day. Thank you so much Heather and Niki, you were both wonderful!

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): 573- we have a similar photo like this from our engagement photos and we loved it too. This photo is so romantic and it shows just how much we are in love. It is also very soft, which makes us look young! (below)
