One of my favorite weddings from last year, Erin & Matthew didn’t let a little rain get in the way of an amazing day and just rolled with it! Although their ceremony had to be moved indoors, the beautiful large windows at Sunningdale still made it feel as if we were outside and by the time we were scheduled to do their portraits the rain had stopped and we had perfect overcast lighting conditions! I loved the field we found right across the road and sneaking away for a quiet moment to take in the gorgeous sunset!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Relaxed, rustic, fun-filled day!
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Walking down the aisle and seeing the love of my life standing there looking so happy, and of course, the party and dancing all night long J
Groom: Seeing my beautiful new wife in her wedding dress, the food, and the awesome party with our family and friends.
Best wedding related decision: The venue, and of course, our wonderful photographer! Those were the most important things to me – amazing pictures and delicious food, drinks, and a fun party – the rest is just icing on the cake. And the DJ! He really kept the party going.
Favourite detail: Flowers, they were just incredible! Mary really captured my vision of weedy / natural looking floral arrangements and the bouquets were stunning!
Advice for future brides & grooms: Enjoy the day! It really does go by so fast, and you’re never going to have all of those people together in the same room again. So party hard and don’t let the small things that go wrong (and they will!) get in the way of enjoying your special day.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nothing, it really was a perfect day. I don’t even mind that it rained and we had to have the ceremony inside, because we got some amazing pictures with the bridesmaids and Heather’s adorable umbrellas!
Best surprise of the day: The party! We were so thrilled that the dance floor was packed all night!
