We photographed Heather’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, and when Heather was left without a wedding photographer at the last minute her sister called us to see if there was anything we could do – we had just opened up some dates with Niki so she came to the rescue and captured Heather & Scott’s lovely day!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: 50’s cocktail party
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: the Ceremony overlooking the lake- this was beyond beautiful!
Groom: the venue and the flowers
Best wedding related decision: We decided not to have speeches from family or friends so that the wedding would have a better flow and people wouldn’t get bored. People thanked us later!
Favourite detail: instead of a receiving line, we decided to do wacky photos with props for each of the guests as they entered the wedding hall.
Advice for future brides & grooms: have a buffer $$$ because things do not always go smoothly!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? We decided not to place expectations so we wouldn’t stress on our day. Because of this we would not change anything because it was perfect!
Best surprise of the day: the rain had cleared and the temperature had cooled down. The day before our wedding it was 45 degrees out so we got lucky! The sun came out and it was beautiful!
Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): There are so many beautiful photos that you were able to capture but I think my favorite (bride) is the one of myself and my grandmother with our heads facing each other and we are smiling. Scott’s Favorite Pictures are all of the family photos.
Anything else you’d like to add: We would like to thank Niki for everything. She really did capture the perfect day for us (and came to the rescue when we were without our original photographer at the last minute!)
