We had an amazing day with Jacquie & Brad documenting their celebration! Jacquie & Brad planned most of the details for their wedding while living in China and they did an amazing job! We had a great time with their fun wedding party and did their photos around the Stratford area (what an adorable town!) The ceremony & reception took place at Jacquie’s moms home in New Hamburg, and everything looked beautiful. I loved the ceremony set up at the front of the house – it was perfect! They even managed to arrange for Brad’s old Volkswagen beetle to make an appearance – this car held a huge significance to the couple as they travelled the world. Congrats to the lovely couple!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Fun and memorable!
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Having fun with our bridal party while taking pictures after the first look in Stratford. Our bridal party consisted of friends who live all over the world and whom we don’t see often, and the time we spent doing these photos was a great way to relax and enjoy each others’ company before the ceremony and the craziness of the reception.
Groom: The whole thing was awesome. Since we live overseas, it was nice to be at home for the short time we had and see our friends and family for some dinner and dancing.
Best wedding related decision: We had the whole wedding party stay with us for a few days surrounding the wedding. Not only did having that many people around help to ensure all of the little details were taken care of, but it was great to be able to just hang out and catch up with everyone!
Favourite detail: It’s hard to pick just one. Honestly, everything went so smoothly and worked out exactly how we had hoped. That being said, if we had to choose, we’d have to go with the chandelier. We had a backyard wedding in a tent, part of which was actually placed in a wheat field, and yet there was a chandelier hanging in the tent. It was pretty great.
Advice for future brides & grooms: The best piece of advice we received was, “Relax and enjoy the day”. It sounds like something you just say to people who are getting married, but it ended up being so true. Just roll with it and find time to take it all in!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?: The only thing we would change would be to have an elevated area or a stage for the head table. It would have been nice to be able to see everyone during the dinner.
Best surprise of the day: Brad had a little message written on the bottom of my shoes. I had no idea it was there until I was putting them on; I got really emotional when I read it. It was incredibly sweet.
