Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Classic, romantic, elegant, intimate
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Other than the fact that I got to marry my best friend, my favourite memory happened at the end of the night. The DJ played the last song (Elton John’s “Your Song” as per our request) and Shawn and I started to dance together. All of our remaining friends and family (there were at least 30 people) linked arms surrounding us and just started swaying. It was totally spontaneous and just the feeling of being together with all of our friends with us was amazing.
Groom: Easy! It was the moment I saw her standing at the end of the aisle. I’ll remember that moment for the rest of my life.
Best wedding related decision: It’s hard to choose just one, so we’ll name a couple of things. First of all, the decision to keep the wedding small and intimate. It is a busy day, but we were able to spend time with all of our family and friends! And of course, our AMAZING vendors really made the day come together and truly went above and beyond to ensure that the day ran smoothly– We highly recommend all of them
Favourite detail: The flowers were absolutely beautiful! Despite having our quote from our florist/decorator which detailed the different types of flowers that were in the arrangements, we didn’t really know what they were going to look like. Russell is so talented and the bouquets and centre pieces were stunning! Our guests were so excited to take them home at the end of the night/the next day!
Advice for future brides & grooms: At some point during the day, take a moment with your spouse and just take it all in. Appreciate all the people that have come to celebrate with you, the décor, the music, and (most importantly) the person next to you.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? The day ran so smoothly! There is really nothing we would have changed!
Best surprise of the day: Just seeing everything come together so beautifully!
Anything else you’d like to add: HRM was so wonderful to work with. They were professional, fun and such a calming presence on a busy day! We can’t imagine going with anyone else for wedding photography.
