What a special day to be a part of…. Lynn’s facebook status the day of the wedding said it all: “Lynn has been waiting for today for 30+ years”. Lynn was going to have the perfect wedding day and nothing was going to stop her – not dark stormy skies or a serious case of the flu (she came down with H1N1 mere weeks before the wedding!). Lynn contacted me about the photography on her wedding day when most of my 2009 dates were booked so she choose her date based around when I was available. There isn’t a higher compliment that can be paid to a photographer and I knew because of this I had to do an extra special amazing job for her and Mike!
Someone must have been watching over Lynn, Mike and cutie daughter Katie (I think I know who Lynn) as the rain held off for photos, the fall colours were out of this world (and the leaves all gone a couple of days later) and our beautiful bride was well enough to walk down the aisle and enjoy a wonderful party. The Harvest Table in Arkona was the absolute perfect spot for this cozy, intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. On the table setting for each guest was a personal note from the bride and groom telling thanking them for being there and telling them why they were important to the couple (even I got one – yes, tears!). On our way to the venue we spotted an old pickup truck and the photos with it are some of my favorites ever!! Congrats Lynn & Mike and thank you so much for asking us to be a part of your day!
