Marci grew up dreaming of the day that she would get married and get to take photos with her Groom at Edward’s Gardens. I was happy to help make that dream come true! Marci and Daryl chose to have their ceremony and reception at the equally gorgeous Sunnybrook Estates. I am missing the warm summer air looking through these photos.

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Elegant but relaxed and fun!
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: The few moments we had together after our ceremony taking pictures on the front lawn of Vaughan Estate, having dinner with our closest family and friends, and dancing the night away!
Groom: Dinner with all of our friends and family.
Best wedding related decision: Asking our family and friends for help! We never would have been able to do it all alone, and cannot thank everyone enough for all of their support, creativity and hard work!
Favourite detail: The pictures of us growing up and of both Daryl’s and my parents wedding days. We found wedding pictures from our parents’ big days (cutting their cakes) that were virtually identical poses.
Advice for future brides & grooms: Through the planning process, I kept in mind something my sister told me before her wedding (although she may not even remember saying it, it stayed with me). At the end of the day, what really matters is that you are marrying your best friend and starting a life together, so there is no need to sweat the small stuff – appreciate the true meaning of the day. It will be a great one!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I’d make the day last longer! I guess that was out of our control though… J
Best surprise of the day: How smoothly everything went from beginning to end and just how much fun we had! Again – I have to credit all of the amazing people around us for helping to organize everything and making it all possible!
Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): There are a few… The photo of the whole wedding party being silly at Edwards Gardens reminds me of the great people in our lives, the picture of Daryl and me in front of Vaughan Estate running around on the grass makes me recall how much fun we were having that day and how happy we felt, and I love our family pictures.
