Melissa contacted me about photographing her wedding less than two weeks before it was happening – talk about last minute!! They had been engaged for quite some time but had never gotten around to setting a date. One day they said “I think it’s about time we do this” and two weeks later they were saying their vows!! You would have never known that this wedding was put together in just two weeks – it was a fantastic day! I think sometimes weddings can end up being “over planned” and “over thought” – not this one, there wasn’t enough time to worry about anything! The most important things to Melissa and Peter on this day were simply to get married and spend time with their closest friends and family. Their laid back approach made this one of my favorite weddings this year!

When we first arrived at Windermere, it was pouring rain… it stopped just in time for Melissa and Peter to see each other before the ceremony. We did their photo shoot early so that they had more time to spend with their guests afterwards.

Shortly after they saw each other for the first time, it started POURING rain again!!

but, a little rain didn’t stop this bride from enjoying her day!!
