We couldn’t have asked for better weather for Michela & Hoan’s wedding day – there was some absolutely magical light during our photo session! My favorite part of the day was the bride’s father’s emotional reaction to seeing her for the first time in her dress – so sweet! Congrats Michela & Hoan, we had a great time with you!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: relaxed semi-formal
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: – my dad had been having some health issues but despite it all he walked me down the aisle (refusing to use his cane), my mom grabbing me for a dance, holding Hoan’s hands while we recited our wedding vows
Groom: – when it was finally over
Best wedding related decision: we broke some of the rules and we tried to keep everything relatively simple
Favourite detail: my mom’s wedding veil (it’s 50 years old)
Advice for future brides & grooms: don’t worry about breaking any of the “rules.” make your wedding day what you want it to be.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I would have hidden Hoan’s ball and chain prop just before the wedding
Best surprise of the day: the weather had been up and down all week but we ended up with a gorgeous sunny autumn day.
Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): a close up of me and Hoan 304, the two of us with autumn trees in the background 393, the two of us in front of the lake 421, me and my mom 49, my dad seeing me in my wedding dress for the first time 60 – 63, my young cousin lounging on a couch at the reception with his playstation 524 – should I stop now? i just loved them – no reason.

We were pretty limited in terms of photo locations – the reception hall was in an industrial area, but I found one lone fall tree and with the right angle it was perfect!
