Rachael and Rob were married on a perfect spring day!! It’s always a special treat when we get to photograph a wedding with the magnolias in bloom! The Civic Gardens Complex at Springbank Park is a beautiful spot! I’m so excited to photograph their growing family as they welcome a new baby any day now!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Country garden meets modern

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: the ceremony- I was so excited that we where getting married I could barely contain myself. I’m fairly certain I was bouncing on the spot.
Groom: Getting to see my soon to be wife, for our first look

Best wedding related decision: Choosing a good photographer to capture everything. It was the first thing we booked after venue. The day goes by so fast but the photos are forever.

Favourite detail: The twinkle lights above the room (the lanterns were a close second)

Advice for future brides & grooms: Decide what you “musts” are, and develop your budget accordingly. There’s a lot of places where you can save, but invest where you feel you will get the best payout.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No, it was an amazing day that went off just how we were hoping!

Best surprise of the day: How absolutely perfect the weather was; rather unexpected for April but it was an amazing day
