Tanya & Amir’s wedding was small in terms of guests but HUGE in terms of love! One of my very good friend also got married this day and I had to miss it as I had already committed to Tanya & Amir when my friend finalized her date. However, photographing Tanya & Amir’s wedding day felt like I was photographing the wedding of very good friends (even though I have only met them a few times!) and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Intimate, romantic, autumnal and a dance party!!!
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride & Groom: The day was full of amazing memories. But, we both agree that the speeches by our families were so wonderful. The sentimental and heartfelt words that were expressed to us, and about us were an amazing gift. Wonderful memories that we will keep close to our hearts
Best wedding related decision: Aside from having HRM Photography capture the day (that’s a given)…….Keeping it small. We had 34 of the closest people in our lives celebrating us, it was perfect.
Favourite detail: Samirah’s floral masterpieces -and incorporating the brooch on my bouquet that has been passed through 4 generations down to me. It meant so much to me to have a little piece of the generations past to be with me throughout the day.
Advice for future brides & grooms: It’s YOUR day, do it how YOU want it! Also, take time to enjoy each moment. The day goes by SO quickly. Really savour the time!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not a thing, the day was absolutely perfect
Best surprise of the day: The best surprise was to our guests with a choreographed ballroom/contemporary/hiphop 1st dance. We blew them away with it!!
Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): Making us pick just one is terribly hard, I am in love with them all. Since we have to chose…
Groom’s pick: #494 We looked so relaxed and taking in the moment, a very natural photo of us.
Bride’s pick: the one where we are amongst the evergreen trees, the lighting is so magical. I felt like I was floating throughout the whole day and this picture truly sums up that feeling!!!
